Training with dressage techniques encourages all that is natural, noble and beautiful in the horse. Dressage is nothing more than teaching the horse to be pleasant, safe and controlled.
Horses correctly trained with good dressage basics
are happier horses that can enjoy their work. With the correct training a horse
trained with simple dressage techniques will develop the correct muscles that will then transform them into gymnasts instead
of merely a horse dragging around a cart.
Teaching
the horse to properly use it’s hindquarters will then enable it to soften it’s back, lowering the hindquarters
and freeing up the shoulders and front end, making it possible for the horse to easily engage in a true extended trot.
Dressage is a wonderful way to train the horse, by developing the horses body and mind to help him cope
with the demands we put on them. This is a neverending process as the horses
always has room for improvement and so do we!
I
strive to give the horses all the basics they need to properly carry themselves in harness.
They learn to be soft and yielding, stretching and lengthening their bodies, which in turn teaches them how to use
their body.
